ONE OF THE MOST ENCOURAGING EVENTS YOU WILL NOT SEE, OR HEAR MUCH ABOUT IN THE PRINT-PRESS, OR ON TELEVISION...

Neil Gorsuch has only been on the Supreme Court for a short while.
Recently he ignited the fire of liberty and broke 40 years of precedent when he refused to join the SCOTUS “cert pool.”

The cert pool was established in 1973 during the early days of the Burger Court, in order to efficiently review the near 8,000 petitions received each term.  In practice, the petitions are apportioned among the Court’s law clerks, who then circulate a memo to the justices recommending a grant or denial.  The obvious problem here is that this gives the power in these 8000 cases to the law clerks instead of the Justices.  It also, in theory, allows 3rd parties to unfairly influence a case through the clerks.

That is NOT how the Supreme Court was designed to operate.  Neil Gorsuch just managed to set his foot down in the Supreme Court and say it is NOT okay to pass off judgments to the discretion of legal clerks.  This is the kind of story everyone should be hearing or reading in the media, but obviously is not.

Today the United States Supreme Court issued a direct and final blow to the Islamic Indoctrination of the young in this nation.  The full panel of the United States Supreme Court which consists of 9 judges met to decide the fate of Islamic indoctrination in our American public schools.  In a typical 5 X 4 decision, common sense won out, and we have sanity restored to our schools once again.

The United States Supreme Court was able to hand out this decision banning Sharia Law and Islam from being taught in classrooms because of the tie-breaking vote of the newly appointed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

Gorsuch went on to write about the decision: “The government certainly has no business being involved in religion, but this isn't a government issue or a religious issue.  This is about the judicial branch interpreting the laws as they apply to the teaching of religion.  We shouldn't be teaching any religions in the public schools of this country!"

Amen, Justice Gorsuch, Amen!

Liberals are all about teaching Islam and Sharia Law, but they have issues with “Under God” in the pledge of allegiance and “In God We Trust” on our currency.

This should have been a unanimous decision, not 5 to 4, but it seems like the 4 liberal judges on the Supreme Court don't care about the Constitution, nor our values

Perhaps this is the start of restoring America to its founding glory.

Thank GOD for our new Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch -- a great selection by President Trump.

when the President is a jerk

Not my post, I copied it. But I like it!
(Marvelle Gardner Plym, Facebook post on 4/3/20)

Consider this...when the President is a jerk

The bottom line has been that Trump is a jerk. He’s crude, he bloviates, he gets his feelings hurt and he’s a hot head.

Let me tell you what else he is. He is a guy that demands performance. He is a guy that asks lots of questions. The questions he asks aren’t cloaked in fancy phrases, they are “why the hell....” questions.

For decades the health industry has thrown away billions of face masks after one use. Trump asks, “Why the hell are we throwing them away? Why not sterilize them and use them numerous times?” He’s the guy that gets hospital ships readied in one week, when it would have taken a bureaucrat weeks or months to get it done. He’s the guy that gets temporary hospitals built in three days. He’s the guy that gets industries to build ventilators and face masks in a business that’s highly regulated by agencies that move like sleuths.

He’s the guy that asks why we aren’t using drugs that might work on people that are dying; what the hell do we have to lose? In spite of all the naysayers. He’s the guy that shut down travel from China, when the liberals and the media were screaming xenophobia and racist. He’s the guy that ran on securing the border in the face of a screaming press and media. When he shut down borders in the midst of the coronavirus virus, they were up in arms over such a draconian move. Then the rest of the world followed suit all over, including the European Union between member countries.

Has he made mistakes, yep. Everyone I know would have. All of these experts wouldn’t have done any better. Trump is working harder than I’ve ever seen a President work. He isn’t hiding in his office, he’s out front every day.

Take for instance, all the shortages of PPE’s and ventilators. I’m unaware of anything that prevented all of these governors from ordering all the PPE and ventilators for emergency purposes over the last two years. And yet, it is Trump’s fault that they didn’t.

He’s balanced his approach and listened to the experts, when his distractors said he wouldn’t and couldn’t. When he offers hope, he’s lying and when he’s straight forward, he should be hopeful. It’s a no win, but he is not deterred by all of that BS coming from the press and the liberals.

I’ll take this kind of leadership over a nice guy that can make eloquent speeches.

Cowboy logic...

Trump to Honor Obama!!!! The best ever!!

Where, Oh Where, to Put Obama?  Trump thought.
I got it!

George Washington, our nation's first president and leader of the American Revolution!

Abe Lincoln, honorable leader who pulled our nation through its darkest time!

Alexander Hamilton, founding father, first Secretary of
the Treasury and leader of the constitutional convention!

Andrew Jackson, "Old Hickory" fought the British in New
Orleans!

Ulysses Grant, Union army general, led the North
through the Civil War!

Ben Franklin, genius inventor, political theorist and
leading author of the Constitution.

Finally, we have someone to put on the food stamp!!!

Obama's policies put more people on welfare than any
president before him, so this placement is most appropriate.

Unlike the Nobel Peace Prize, for which he did nothing,
this is an "honor" he richly deserves.

Quote of the Day, Any Day, Any Time

"America does not need to see the tax return of a billionaire who became a public servant.
America needs to see the tax returns of public servants who became millionaires while being public servants."

Special thanks goes out to Bruce Klein for sharing this great news.  Many thanks my friend.

As I have watched President Trump maneuver through these last several days, I noticed a few things I have seldom if ever seen in a US President. We have had some great Presidents but how many have you seen that have actively engaged and allowed their Vice-President to have a word and actually do their job...and have it seen?

In all of the years I can’t remember ever hearing from or seldom seeing the Vice-Presidents. I have also noticed that Trump puts in place and acknowledges publicly those who have skills in areas he does not. He gives them a face to the American people... he isn’t portraying He’s doing it all by himself or seeking his own face time. He is listening to, delegating, and empowering those who have a skill set. He is making decisive decisions, and making it known that he has confidence in them to carry out what needs to be done. He is stepping aside on the podium to let someone else speak, giving them credit, by name. (That’s humility people) He protects his team from the “heat” and takes the criticism. He praises and thanks them genuinely (publicly) for the tireless work they are doing.

He has a forward-thinking positive outlook not a doomsday negative approach.
He and Vice-President Pence are a team... He trusts Pence. All of that lines up with what a true team leader looks like. I’m thankful for Trump, he may be salty at times... but he is a leader with our best interest at heart. He can’t be bought; he doesn’t need money (he doesn’t even take the Presidential salary) and he doesn’t let “the media” determine what he does. He chose to work for the American people and that is what he has and is doing. (he wasn’t looking for power or prestige— he’s a Billionaire- he already had that) I want a true team leader (with no political pockets) to lead our country... because that’s the only way anything gets done right. Trump has exhibited those characteristics... sadly it is rare and what should be expected from all of those in leadership. It has been encouraging to watch him lead, and for him to give credit where it is due.
A Great Team Leader:
1. Exhibits Confidence
2. Inspires Others
3. Has Commitment and Passion
4. Is a Good Communicator
5. Has strong Decision-Making Capabilities
6. Holds Accountable
7. Delegates and Empowers
8. Is Creative and Innovative
9. Has Empathy
10. Is Resilient
11. Has Emotional Intelligence
12. Exhibits Humility
13. Is Transparent
14. Has Vision and Purpose

If you are honest with yourself... what kind of boss would you rather have? I know my answer.

I talked to a man today

Facebook Post
Craig Dew
March 16 at 5:37 AM

I talked with a man today, an 80+ year old man. I asked him if there was anything, I can get him while this Coronavirus scare was gripping America.

He simply smiled, looked away and said:

"Let me tell you what I need! I need to believe, at some point, this country my generation fought for... I need to believe this nation we handed safely to our children and their children...

I need to know this generation will quit being a bunch of sissies...that they respect what they've been given...that they've earned what others sacrificed for."

I wasn't sure where the conversation was going or if it was going anywhere at all. So, I sat there, quietly observing.

"You know, I was a little boy during WWII. Those were scary days. We didn't know if we were going to be speaking English, German or Japanese at the end of the war. There was no certainty, no guarantees like Americans enjoy today.

And no home went without sacrifice or loss. Every house, up and down every street, had someone in harm's way. Maybe their Daddy was a soldier, maybe their son was a sailor, maybe it was an uncle. Sometimes it was the whole damn family...fathers, sons, uncles...

Having someone, you love, sent off to war...it wasn't less frightening than it is today. It was scary as Hell. If anything, it was more frightening. We didn't have battle front news. We didn't have email or cellphones. You sent them away and you hoped...you prayed. You may not hear from them for months, if ever. Sometimes a mother was getting her son's letters the same day Dad was comforting her over their child's death.

And we sacrificed. You couldn't buy things. Everything was rationed. You were only allowed so much milk per month, only so much bread, toilet paper. EVERYTHING was restricted for the war effort. And what you weren't using, what you didn't need, things you threw away, they were saved and sorted for the war effort. My generation was the original recycling movement in America.

And we had viruses back then...serious viruses. Things like polio, measles, and such. It was nothing to walk to school and pass a house or two that was quarantined. We didn't shut down our schools. We didn't shut down our cities. We carried on, without masks, without hand sanitizer. And do you know what? We persevered. We overcame. We didn't attack our President, we came together. We rallied around the flag for the war. Thick or thin, we were in it to win. And we would lose more boys in an hour of combat than we lose in entire wars today."

He slowly looked away again. Maybe I saw a small tear in the corner of his eye. Then he continued:

"Today's kids don't know sacrifice. They think a sacrifice is not having coverage on their phone while they freely drive across the country. Today's kids are selfish and spoiled. In my generation, we looked out for our elders. We helped out with single moms who's husbands were either at war or dead from war. Today's kids rush the store, buying everything they can...no concern for anyone but themselves. It's shameful the way Americans behave these days. None of them deserve the sacrifices their granddads made.

So, no I don't need anything. I appreciate your offer but, I know I've been through worse things than this virus. But maybe I should be asking you, what can I do to help you? Do you have enough pop to get through this, enough steak? Will you be able to survive with 113 channels on your tv?"

I smiled, fighting back a tear of my own...now humbled by a man in his 80's. All I could do was thank him for the history lesson, leave my number for emergency and leave with my ego firmly tucked in my rear.

I talked to a man today. A real man. An American man from an era long gone and forgotten. We will never understand the sacrifices. We will never fully earn their sacrifices. But we should work harder to learn about them … learn from them...to respect them.

The Truth About Democrat Debates

By Terry Orr

While relaxing in my recliner this sunny, Sunday afternoon - was thinking about the ongoing circus (aka Democrat debates) - and trying to understand their logic (if they have one) for this coming November Presidential election.

I was thinking If only 11 million people have Obama-Care, how will 24
million people die if it is repealed? Will an additional 13 million people
 be randomly shot?

I was thinking - Why is it that Democrats think Super delegates are fine,
but they have a problem with the Electoral College?

I was thinking - If Democrats don't want foreigners involved in our
elections, why do they think it's all right for illegal's to vote?

I was thinking - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be
Mayberry, USA.

I was thinking - I have no problem with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. While we're at it, let's do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter I.D. and candidates running for office.

In closing...

Right on Mike Rowe!!
