Hot Air Balloons

Today we celebrate hot air balloons, however in Natchez, where I live we celebrate them in October. Every year we play host to thousands of festival goers who attend the Great Mississippi River Balloon Races. It is a three day event that begins with a balloon glow on Friday, then races and concerts and food and family fun all day Saturday and Sunday.

It is a beautiful sight to see all these balloons flying over our fair city and floating across the mighty Mississippi river. They come in all shapes and colors and as I watch them float I think back to the book Around the World in Eighty Days and how magical it would be to float around the world. Check here for more information about our festival: http://www.natchezballoonrace.com/ and if you get a chance, come on down!

We'd love to see you!

Clean Air for Everyone

The time to act is Now!

Let’s take a minute to reflect where we are as people of this planet and have come from over the past 50 years.  Collectively, we have made significant progress in many areas – although some will say at what cost. Believe they have a valid point, at least to some extent.

For the purpose of this article, let’s focuses on what we can do to make our Planet a better place to live.

Renewable Energy Sources

One missing from this graphic has unlimited potential - if we can ever find a way to harness its awesome power.

Did you know that a single bolt of lightning can product enough power major cities for weeks.

How about a simple means to help clean our air on Earth?

Friends of ours plant one tree each holiday, every year - think about that on 4th of July.

Couple years ago, I drove across Washington, from Seattle to Spokane and saw thousands of wind mills like these in the fields.
