Isaac at the Rainbow Bridge

On this beautiful Monday, the 25th of November 2019 a few minutes past noon, our beloved cat, Isaac crossed the Rainbow Bridge – peacefully and free of pain.

Pat rescued you 17 years ago – a little cautious in your adjustment to a new home and new brother and sister – and new humans. Gradually you warmed your way into the hearts and minds of your new family – full of love and affection.

Your presence we miss
Your memory we treasure
Loving you always
In our thoughts forever …

For our all dear departed pets
Who have crossed
The Rainbow Bridge

On this sunny day, Isaac joined his brothers and sisters who proceeded him: Gregory; Bambi & Thumper; Lady & Tramp; Misty; Blackie and Duke; and others from decades past. They were at the gate to welcome him home.

Garfield the Cat

By Terry Orr

Garfield is a comic strip created by Jim Davis. Published since June 19, 1978, it chronicles the life of the title character, the cat Garfield (named after Davis's grandfather); his owner, Jon Arbuckle; and Jon's dog, Odie.  As of 2013, it was syndicated in roughly 2,580 newspapers and journals, and held the Guinness World Record for being the world's most widely syndicated comic strip. (Source: Wikipedia)

Our children, grandchildren, as was well as our cats enjoy watching Garfield.  Generally the first comic strip each day, cartoon programs watched often and a nice collection of movies all have been a big hit in our family.  Grandkids have collectables of this famous Cat.

The Lighter Side ….

HOW A BOWL SHOULD BE LICKED?

How sweet this is. The owner grabbed a camera instead of chasing the puppy away.

"Until one has loved an animal, parts of their soul remains unawaken."

This must have been pure joy for the Photographer!

"Friendship isn't about who you have known the longest.
It's about those who came and never left your side ......."

May you always have love to share, health to spare, and friends that care!

Common themes in the strip include Garfield's laziness, obsessive eating, and hatred of Mondays and diets. The strip's focus is mostly on the interactions among Garfield, Jon, and Odie; recurring minor characters appear as well.

Garfield Quotes:
  • Love me, feed me, never leave me.
  • I'm not over-weight, I'm under-tall.
  • Diet is "die" with a "t."
  • Eat every meal as though it were your last.
  • Some people have anxiety attacks, some people have gas attacks ...I have nap attacks.
  • With due respect to Will Rogers, I never met a lasagna I didn't like.
  • Have you used your brain today?
  • His I.Q. is so low you can't test it. You have to dig for it
  • Microwave lasagna. Possibly nature's most perfect food
  • I love the smell of Cinnamon Apple in the morning. It smells like victory

There is nothing like a welcome home greeting from a warm purring ball of fur. So if you have been taking your cat for granted lately, go home and celebrate this ‘holiday’!
