A manner of perspective …

Sharing a Facebook Post

You see Trump’s arrogance,

I see Trump’s confidence.

You see Trump’s nationalism,

I see Trump’s patriotism.

You hear Trump’s unsophisticated words,

I hear Trump’s honesty.

You see Trump’s racism,

I see Trump’s words being misconstrued and twisted by the media daily to fit their narrative.

You see Trump as a Republican,

I see Trump as a Patriot.

You see Trump as a dictator,

I see Trump as a leader.

You see Trump as an Authoritarian,

I see Trump as the only one willing to fight for our freedoms.

You see Trump as childish,

I see Trump as a fighter, unwilling to cave in to the lies.

You see Trump as an unpolished politician,

I see Trump as a breath of fresh air.

You think Trump hates immigrants,

I know Trump is married to an immigrant.

You see Trump putting an end to immigration in America,

I see Trump welcoming immigrants to America LEGALLY.

You see Trump’s cages at the border,

I see Obama’s cages at the border.

You see Trump with a struggling economy,

I see Trump with an amazing economy until the Democrats shut it down.

You see the violence in the streets and call it “Trump’s America”,

I see the violence in the streets of Democratic run cities who are refusing Trump’s help and call it “Liberal America.”

You want someone more Presidential,

I’m happy we have someone who finally doesn’t just talk the talk but actually walks the walk.

You and I? We see things very differently.

when the President is a jerk

Not my post, I copied it. But I like it!
(Marvelle Gardner Plym, Facebook post on 4/3/20)

Consider this...when the President is a jerk

The bottom line has been that Trump is a jerk. He’s crude, he bloviates, he gets his feelings hurt and he’s a hot head.

Let me tell you what else he is. He is a guy that demands performance. He is a guy that asks lots of questions. The questions he asks aren’t cloaked in fancy phrases, they are “why the hell....” questions.

For decades the health industry has thrown away billions of face masks after one use. Trump asks, “Why the hell are we throwing them away? Why not sterilize them and use them numerous times?” He’s the guy that gets hospital ships readied in one week, when it would have taken a bureaucrat weeks or months to get it done. He’s the guy that gets temporary hospitals built in three days. He’s the guy that gets industries to build ventilators and face masks in a business that’s highly regulated by agencies that move like sleuths.

He’s the guy that asks why we aren’t using drugs that might work on people that are dying; what the hell do we have to lose? In spite of all the naysayers. He’s the guy that shut down travel from China, when the liberals and the media were screaming xenophobia and racist. He’s the guy that ran on securing the border in the face of a screaming press and media. When he shut down borders in the midst of the coronavirus virus, they were up in arms over such a draconian move. Then the rest of the world followed suit all over, including the European Union between member countries.

Has he made mistakes, yep. Everyone I know would have. All of these experts wouldn’t have done any better. Trump is working harder than I’ve ever seen a President work. He isn’t hiding in his office, he’s out front every day.

Take for instance, all the shortages of PPE’s and ventilators. I’m unaware of anything that prevented all of these governors from ordering all the PPE and ventilators for emergency purposes over the last two years. And yet, it is Trump’s fault that they didn’t.

He’s balanced his approach and listened to the experts, when his distractors said he wouldn’t and couldn’t. When he offers hope, he’s lying and when he’s straight forward, he should be hopeful. It’s a no win, but he is not deterred by all of that BS coming from the press and the liberals.

I’ll take this kind of leadership over a nice guy that can make eloquent speeches.

Cowboy logic...

Greeting readers, friends and family - I am proud to share this excellent Facebook post by Cynthia Peacock and subsequently shared by Melba Sugg Jennings.  Cynthia has captured what many of us have known since President Trump announced his candidacy and confirmed in his daily routine. America First! Thank you, Mr. President, for all you are doing for all Americans and may the good Lord continue to bless you and your family. - Terry Orr

As I have watched President Trump maneuver through these last several days, I noticed a few things I have seldom if ever seen in a US President. We have had some great Presidents but how many have you seen that have actively engaged and allowed their Vice-President to have a word and actually do their job...and have it seen?

In all of the years I can’t remember ever hearing from or seldom seeing the Vice-Presidents. I have also noticed that Trump puts in place and acknowledges publicly those who have skills in areas he does not. He gives them a face to the American people... he isn’t portraying He’s doing it all by himself or seeking his own face time. He is listening to, delegating, and empowering those who have a skill set. He is making decisive decisions, and making it known that he has confidence in them to carry out what needs to be done. He is stepping aside on the podium to let someone else speak, giving them credit, by name. (That’s humility people) He protects his team from the “heat” and takes the criticism. He praises and thanks them genuinely (publicly) for the tireless work they are doing.

He has a forward-thinking positive outlook not a doomsday negative approach.
He and Vice-President Pence are a team... He trusts Pence. All of that lines up with what a true team leader looks like. I’m thankful for Trump, he may be salty at times... but he is a leader with our best interest at heart. He can’t be bought; he doesn’t need money (he doesn’t even take the Presidential salary) and he doesn’t let “the media” determine what he does. He chose to work for the American people and that is what he has and is doing. (he wasn’t looking for power or prestige— he’s a Billionaire- he already had that) I want a true team leader (with no political pockets) to lead our country... because that’s the only way anything gets done right. Trump has exhibited those characteristics... sadly it is rare and what should be expected from all of those in leadership. It has been encouraging to watch him lead, and for him to give credit where it is due.
A Great Team Leader:
1. Exhibits Confidence
2. Inspires Others
3. Has Commitment and Passion
4. Is a Good Communicator
5. Has strong Decision-Making Capabilities
6. Holds Accountable
7. Delegates and Empowers
8. Is Creative and Innovative
9. Has Empathy
10. Is Resilient
11. Has Emotional Intelligence
12. Exhibits Humility
13. Is Transparent
14. Has Vision and Purpose

If you are honest with yourself... what kind of boss would you rather have? I know my answer.

Tell the Truth

By Terry Orr

Imagine a world where nobody lies, says anything misleading, or does anything dishonest. Tell The Truth Day aims to achieve this for just one day – presumably to allow people the rest of the year to get over insult, hurt and the result of truths, which perhaps should have remained un-said!  Remember the ole saying ‘If you can’t say something nice about a person, don’t say anything.” Good advice.

Do you ever wonder why folks lie?  I mean really wonder?  I know folks who would rather lie than to tell the truth – and generally they would have been far better of telling the truth from the get go!

You have seen folks at gathers telling others bold face lies – in the company of others who know the truth and will any one challenge the liar – NOT. Why? Hurt their feelings?

My closing comment on this subject - Our elected officials, leaders, parents, et al are supposed to be setting the example for our young people - the example they are setting is WRONG and we all are going to pay the price down the road.

Excellent words to live by..

It is Financial Wellness Month - 2013

(Google Image)

By Terry Orr

Financial Wellness is a wonderful concept and if one can participate all the better.  Fact is that many folks simply cannot! They are living day to day - often wondering where their next meal will come from. I am not talking about those individuals who chose not to work.

I am writing about those who volunteered to protect our way of live, our freedom and others - making terrible sacrifices - all too often the ultimate by giving their lives to a government that has turned their backs on these people!

I am writing about those hard working individuals who have lost their jobs through mismanagement, government bungling, and outsourcing to other countries.

I am writing about the millions of honest, hardworking people who lost their entire life savings at the hands of greedy financial individuals and the government gross neglect. to my knowledge, not one government person has yet been held accountable for their actions.

I am writing about the corruption in our elected officials over the past one hundred years.  Stealing money from Social Security and other places - failing to repay those it – and now wanting to refer to it as an entitlement - even though millions of hard working people have been contributing to throughout their entire lives as a benefit. Must be part of that New Congressional Math they have been talking about.  Financial wellness was lost to our citizenry through the greed and corruption of elected officials.

I am writing about the lack of true leadership, integrity, honesty, and doing the right thing!

January is Financial Wellness Month. Few if any of us planned to live in these financial hard times, our budgets stretched and often broke - force to decide between a new pair of shoes or a hot meal for the family.

January is the start of a new year - perhaps a time of hope, a fresh start, for a better tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Dad!

October 15, 2023 Each day, I walk into my den to see what in new and what are my ‘to do’ items for the day and say good morning, Dad. This...
