Administrative Professionals Day

April 27, 2011 is
Administrative Professionals Day

They take notes, answer the phones, and keep everyone in the office organized. Where would we be without our administrative professionals?

Today, there are over 4.1 million Americans that hold the position of administrative assistant. There are another 8.9 million Americans that work in administrative support roles. There are also millions of other secretaries and administrative assistants that work in companies around the world.

The International Association of Administrative Professionals has sponsored Administrative Professionals Day since 1952. This holiday is a worldwide celebration that brings millions of people together to honor secretaries, receptionists, and administrative assistants. It is also one of the largest workplace observances besides national holidays and employee birthdays.

Show your appreciation by sending your secretary or administrative assistant flowers, candy, or even just a thoughtful eCard. They certainly deserve it! [special thanks to punchbowl.com for this article.]

Thank you for all you do!
