Hot Air Balloons

Today we celebrate hot air balloons, however in Natchez, where I live we celebrate them in October. Every year we play host to thousands of festival goers who attend the Great Mississippi River Balloon Races. It is a three day event that begins with a balloon glow on Friday, then races and concerts and food and family fun all day Saturday and Sunday.

It is a beautiful sight to see all these balloons flying over our fair city and floating across the mighty Mississippi river. They come in all shapes and colors and as I watch them float I think back to the book Around the World in Eighty Days and how magical it would be to float around the world. Check here for more information about our festival: and if you get a chance, come on down!

We'd love to see you!
